** so good it had to be shared again! **
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I spent a good chunk of time tearing apart the office (again), purging (yes, still more purging) and reshufflling (yes more reshuffling). I’m hoping sometime in the next millenium I’ll be done this office makeover (SIGH). In the meantime, I carved out a little time to read a post from one of my mentors, Sean Low that really resonated with me. It’s about staying on track with your goals, not getting lost in the day to day busy (GUILTY), and always keeping your eye on the proverbial prize.
You see, around this time every year we just get flooded. With inquiries, with new clients, with old clients revisited. I’m not sure if it’s the longer days, more sunshine or what. But it happens, and we are grateful. We (meaning me) are also a little overwhelmed. In a good way of course, but I’d be dishonest if I said juggling a business, multiple vendors, interns, collaborators, a family and a home wasn’t a lot. In a recent exchange with Kathryn, I asked “will I ever slow down” and she said “the question is, do you want to??” DAMN. She got me on that one.
The point of my rambling? To remind yourself (that’d be you Heidi) to slow down, focus and remember your Decisions Determine Destiny. Now go forth and have an amazing week!
